Short Breaks in the North of England
The North of England has plenty to offer for couples or families planning a short break this autumn. There’s plenty of events and activities going on that will appeal to children of all ages 2 to 16 and with Halloween and Christmas looming, it’s no surprise to find plenty of themed activities over the next few weeks. So let’s take a closer look at the North of England…
Harewood House near Leeds provides a wonderful family day out. Currently running a series of ‘Autumn Glory’ activities, the stately home includes an adventure playground, bird garden, and lakeside walks. There is also a Christmas Fayre taking place there between 23rd and 25th November.
As you’d expect in the lead up to Christmas, there are plenty of fairs and markets going on throughout the North including the Mary Howard Christmas Fair at Capesthorne Hall, Alderley Edge. Then there’s the Beamish Christmas Market on 14th and 15th December to look forward to.
