The rugged Scottish Highlands are rich in history and feature some of the most breathtaking scenery in Europe. An ideal base for touring the highlands by car, Glencoe offers plenty for families to see and do in and around the area.
Fort William, the largest town in the West Highlands, is renowned for its history and scenery which includes the highest mountain in the UK (Ben Nevis) and the deepest loch (Loch Morar). Beautiful glens, forests and beaches lie in between. The Nevis Centre in Fort William is hosting the Proclaimers on 11th November and an exciting Roller Skating Show on the 24th.
Edinburgh is the ideal short break city destination, with its famous castle overlooking the city. Here you’ll find museums, art galleries, plus quality restaurants, bars, and excellent shopping. Children will love ‘The Gruffalo’s Child’ showing at the Kings Theatre between 8th -11th November. East Princes Street Gardens plays host to Winter Wonderland between 24th November and 7th January, which includes an outdoor ice rink and German Christmas market.
